(For those who want to know what that scripture says—here it is.)
2 John 1:12
Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.
We will see Greg tomorrow (Thursday) morning and attend the temple with him. It’s a great day!

Hey! How is everyone doing this week? I am doing fantastic! The weather is being crazy here, but what else can you expect from Virginia? Nothing is normal here. It is getting beautiful out here though. So this week has been pretty hectic! We didn’t have a lot of time to go knock doors, but we got a lot of other great things done.
One of my favorite things was General Conference. Wow, that was amazing. I really liked this one. I took 16 pages of notes and I know I will find more stuff in the talks when I read through them in the Ensign. It was really amazing because I went to listen to conference with a lot of questions on my mind, and I couldn’t help but get a bigger and bigger smile as question after question was answered by the speakers. Concerns that I had about certain things, I was given guidance on how to overcome them, or help others overcome them that we are teaching. I am just so grateful that we have prophets and apostles that are inspired to give these talks and help us with the problems we face today. To hear them talk about yes these times are hard, but there is hope, and to know that some of them have been through REALLY hard times. One of my favorite talks was by Elder Holland. Talk about powerful and helpful. It gave me a new perspective on the atonement and how much Christ loves us. If you didn’t hear that one I would strongly suggest that you listen to it, or read it. Absolutely amazing.
We were also able to go and teach Jessica Dunn a couple of times. She is so excited about baptism! We actually moved her baptismal date back 1 week, so she will be getting baptized April 17th, at 8 p.m. It is amazing to see that an 11 year old doesn’t comprehend everything, but knows that God can answer prayers and guide her. It is like Nephi said, he doesn’t know everything about God, but he knows that God loves us and that is enough. One thing that I have learned is that conversion doesn’t happen when you have a perfect understanding of everything. If that were true, no one would ever join any church because you DON’T have a perfect knowledge of everything. It is a spiritual thing, and is done step by step. People are prepared through life to accept certain truths, or understand certain things. Such as, it may take people a long time before they realize HOW God answers prayers, or even that He DOES answer prayers. If someone doesn’t know that he answers prayers, or how he does, it is hard for them to go and talk, or pray to God. It is the same with doctrines of the church. You will be learning the doctrines of God all your life, and a lot of them you won’t understand. So it takes a testimony and mainly faith to act on these principles. It is amazing to see people that believe the Book of Mormon is scripture, but don’t agree with other doctrines of the church. I would say that people don’t agree with them, because they don’t understand them. Probably an obvious statement. This is where the faith comes in. It is amazing to see people like Jessica, or this girl named Ann, that have such faith. They don’t have a perfect knowledge and haven’t learned everything, but they do know what they know and act upon those answers. That is what faith really is. It is believing in something that you can’t see, or understand perfectly, and acting as though you did. That is why it is so hard to be in a religion. Because there are some many things you can’t see, so many things that require faith, but even though you may not know everything, you can know enough.
I have learned so much out here on the mission. Before I came out here, my testimony wasn’t very strong, and I didn’t know really very many details about the church. All I knew was that I needed to go on a mission and I believed that certain things were true. I wouldn’t say that I “knew” things. I didn’t know that things were true, but I had a hope that they were, and I acted like I knew they were. My testimony has been strengthened through my trials, and hardships. I have seen the truths of the gospel change my life for the better, and now I know certain things. I know God loves us, I don’t understand how much, but I know it is more than I can imagine. I know that because He loves us, He gave us a way to grow and progress so we could have more joy and eternal happiness. I know that they way we know what we need to do is through His reveled word, and he speaks to the world through the people He calls. I know that he answers our prayers so we can know these things for our selves and so we can act upon them. I don’t have a perfect knowledge of these things, but I have more than a belief. I have a testimony, which is something that only God can give us and no one can take away. That is why I say that I know these things. The gospel is true and everyone can know for themselves. It just has to start with desire. Do you want to know? Do you want to believe? Then you need to search, ponder and pray. Don’t just think that you can pray and God will give it to you. You need to study and ponder what the scriptures teach and then when you think you have a conclusion; you go to God in prayer.
I love you all so much and I am so grateful for the support that you have given me. It is hard to believe that it is all coming to an end. I will miss the mission and the people out here, but I know that this is the next step in my life that I need to take. I can’t wait to see you all and I love you, I love you!!! Have a great week.
Love Always

(Just for those of you who don’t know, in just two weeks Lynn and I will be in DC to get Greg!!!)
HEY!! So how is everyone doing today? I am terrible…APRIL FOOLS!! haha so funny. I am really doing great! I can’t believe April is here. A lot of great things are going on right now.
So the area I am in isn’t a really “easy” area to do missionary work. Well there is no where that is “easy” for missionary work. You have to go out and work hard! We have been working hard to find someone to teach the gospel too. Sunday we went up to this lady that used to be kind of less active, but is now just coming back to church, and asked when we could come see her. She said “Tomorrow should work. Oh and my daughter that is 12 wants to get baptized.” What? So we went and started teaching her daughter named Jessica. She has been going to church for a while now and really wants to be baptized. She said that she wanted to be baptized as soon as possible and picked April 10th. So we will be meeting with her a few times this week and next to teach her everything and make sure she has a testimony. It is amazing to see the Lord bless you when you just keep pushing through and doing what is asked. I am no were near a perfect person or missionary, but for some reason we are being blessed here in Fairfax.
Well we didn’t really have a chance to teach anyone else this week. A lot of things came up so we had a lot of time to go knock on doors. We got let in by a surprisingly lot of people! A lot of good things are going on right now. We haven’t been able to get back to teach them, but we are still in touch with a lot of people. So I will keep you updated on what is happening.
We also had a zone conference this week. It was the last one I will be go too. They had me bear my testimony and it was really hard. It is hard to realize that everything you have known for the last two years is about to change. I am excited to see everyone but will miss all the people I have grown to love out here.
I love you all and hope you have a great week!

Hey! How is everyone doing? I am doing great! I had a pretty good week this week and hope that you all had a great week too! The weather is starting to just get beautiful here. This week we were able to talk to a lot of people and found a really sweet new guy. His name is Steve. I was on exchanges with an Elder Elton and we were just knocking on doors. We knocked his door and he sat down with us outside for a little while and we talked with him about what the Book of Mormon is and how God answers the questions we have about life with His scriptures. He was really excited to read through it and pray about it and wanted us to come back next week.
We weren’t able to meet with any of our other Iivestigators this week, they all had stuff going on, but we have appointments rescheduled for next week.
I am so excited for General Conference to come. I love telling people that in less than two weeks we have a modern day prophet and apostles teaching us about what we can prepare for. What great news. We have the guidance today that we need to make it through the hard times that we go through.
Sorry I don’t have a lot of time today to be able to type up all the wonderful things that we have seen throughout the week. Just know that everything is going well and people and willing to learn. I love you all so very much and miss you. I hope that you have a great week! LOVE YOU!

HEY! How is everyone doing this week? I am doing great! This was a fun week, as always. We don’t have a ton of people we are teaching, but the people we are teaching are amazing. Plus everyone was wearing my favorite color on Tuesday and that just makes me happy! Plus the spring weather is fantastic, and the trees are starting to blossom.
So I was able to go on exchanges with a fun Elder from Colorado. His name is Elder Strong. We went and taught a couple of people and talked to some fun ones on the doors. There was this one guy named Shon, that was way sweet. He is from Persia and used to be Muslim. He said after studying all religions, Buddhist, Judaism, Christianity, etc. he is to confused, so he believes in God and tries to do good. Turns out he wants us to come back to see if we can clear up some confusion. So we are going to go back and teach him today. It is amazing how many people just settle for a church because they are too confused. I guess most people either don’t realize where they can get the answers, or just don’t have enough desire to really, really search them out. But I love to find people that are searching, that do have the desire to learn, because then they are willing to ask God, not just you, and that is where they will find truth.
We were also able to meet with Aziz and Oksana this week again. They are the couple that are Muslim and Russian Orthodox. We talked about the importance of prophets more and Christ and talked alot about prayer and what it is and how we can get answers to our prayers. We then asked them at the end what the next step they were going to take was and they said “Well, we need to read and pray to see if this is true!” Right on the money! That is really what you need to do, read, study, pray and wait for answers in your heart and mind. They aren’t always easy to understand or see, but they do come. Trust me.
We also met with Joe Peaks again this week. He has a very open mind and some questions about religion, why so many churches, why do people just turn to God in hard times, stuff like that. He really likes the idea that there could be a prophet on the earth in these days. So we gave him some stuff to read and some questions to answer so he can find out for himself what is taught in the Bible, and Book of Mormon. We are meeting with him again today as well.
I love meeting with people and teaching them what I have learned. I love finding answers to questions they ask me when I don’t know them yet. If we study scriptures with questions in our mind, we will find the answers. I have seen it time and time again out here, for me and people we meet with. It is amazing to see. I am loving the time I have left out here, trying to soak up all the knowledge I can from everyone I meet and enjoy it while I can.
I love you all so much and hope that you have a great week, I know it will be. LOVE YOU!!!

HEY!!! How is everyones week going? My week is going great! Had some really good things happen. To start off, let me tell you a little about me new companion. His name is Elder Bird. He has been out a year now, so he is half way done. A good hard working Elder. I am happy to be able to learn what I can from him before I leave. He is from West Jordan Utah, my 3rd companion from Utah. So far we have been having a great transfer together.
One amazing thing that happened was on Monday. We were knocking on doors and we had talked to a ton of people. No one was really interested and so we were thinking about going and visiting some members. Then I thought to myself something that Elder Holland said when he came out. He said that when a competitive swimmer was asked what made the difference in a swimmer and a champion he said “You kick when you don’t want to kick, and you stroke when you don’t want to stroke.” Well I didn’t want to “kick” or knock doors anymore and I thought of that and said lets keep going until we find someone. Then we saw a lady walking and went up to her, she said “I am not stopping” so I said, “thats fine, I will walk with you.” We talked for a while and her name is Brenda. She is amazing! A 53 year old women that has a lot of faith and is truly seeking truth. We are going to go meet with her next week and teach her. She is really excited to start reading the Book of Mormon because she wants to find out if it is true. That is what happens I guess when you kick when you don’t want to kick, you find someone amazing.
We also had a great lesson yesterday. We taught a Muslim man named Aziz, and His Russian Orthodox wife name Oksana. An interesting combination, but they were both so nice. Very open to learning and just had some questions about religion and our church. We talked with them for about an hour just answering some questions they had and then we set up a time to go back next week.
A new thing that we are doing in the mission is making our own “mission plan” for our individual areas. So that means we kind of control our rules and schedules. This is so we can figure out what will be best for our areas. For example in our ward we are going to be getting member meals back 3 days a week so we can get to know the members better. They are supper busy and only have time around dinner time, when they are eating. We are also going to set it up to where we go with some people from the ward once a month to the temple. Not on P-day, with missionary work in mind. It is really exciting to think of ways that you can really help the work progress even more, talk to more people and things like that, it is also a lot of responsibility because you don’t want to mess it up!
I love it out here! This is a hard area to work in, but that is why I love it. I love challenges, I love to work hard and give it all that I have. I love you all and miss you tons, have a great week and make it great!

Greg sent his email from last week that never showed up, plus this one is from this week. So be sure and scroll down and read the next (previous) blog too! ONLY SIX MORE WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!
Hey! How is everyone? I am doing fantastic! So this morning was when I got my last transfer phone call. The time has been flying out here and it is hard to believe that this is my last 6 weeks. Where does time go? What do we learn more importantly when we look back? I have learned alot, alot about everything, the gospel, people, life, and myself. Now I must learn endurance. This is where I can take all that I have learned at put it into action, and stay focused until the end. For this 6 weeks I will be staying here in Fairfax and getting an Elder Bird. He has been out for a little while, not exactly sure how long. I am excited but sad to see Elder Freeland leave, I wish that we could have stayed together for this transfer, he is a great missionary and I will miss him alot.
So whats been going on with me here. Well this last week was great, alot of hard work, some miracles and good news and a little weather surprise. So to start off, the weather. We had some really nice weather here and then it just started cooling off pretty quick. Well we got a text Sunday night saying there was a snow storm warning and, well we didn’t think anything of it, because we have gotten a few of those and nothing happens. When we woke up on Monday however we looked outside and there was like 4 inches on the ground and it was still coming down hard! Well then we get a text telling us not to drive, so our meetings we had were canceled and we didn’t know what to do! It wasn’t a very exciting morning, but then I called and go permission to drive and we went out and got to work. People here have NO idea how to drive in the snow, because most of them have never really seen it before so everything closes down. It was a fun day.
Well we were knocking doors this week and found some really great people. The first one was named Joe. He talked to us about how he hates when people get into hard times how they turn to God, how they should always rely on him, through the hard times and the good times. That is one reason we have prophets I believe, they help us understand how we can turn to God always and prepare for the hard times, instead of preparing to talk to God when the hard times come. We are going back to teach him about why God calls prophets tonight.
We also knocked on this girls door named Shannon. We asked if she had read the Book of Mormon and she said no she reads the Bible, so then we asked her if she knew why the Book of Mormon would be important to her. She told us know and she was a therapist so she would let us explain it to her and she would have an open mind. So we did and asked if we could teach her more. She told us how she had class on the day we asked to come back, but she wanted to learn more and asked if there was another day we could come back. We are going to teach her today as well.
But I got a call last week and said that someone I had taught was getting Baptized on March 7th. It is Jim McMichael, I don’t know if you remember that family. It is a family that I taught about a year ago while I was in Mclean 2nd ward. They were agnostic, or how ever you spell it, and know the dad is getting baptized! The daughter was baptized a while ago in a different mission after the family was being taught. It is exciting to see families find out for themselves it is true. I am super excited to go see the baptism on Saturday.
I am excited for this transfer and you better believe I am going to leave everything I have on the table. I will come home a tired, worn out man, or boy, because I gave all I had to the Lord. I love it out here, and I thank you again, over and over for all the support you give to me. Thanks for all you do and I love you all. Have a great week. LOVE YOU!!!

Hey! How is everyone doing? I am fantastic! This week and last week were both so great! This email hopefully isn’t too long! I got a lot to talk about and I hope I don’t forget anything. Lets see, first, last week on February 14th I was able to go to Alejandra Garcias baptism! She was married to a less active member, that is now active and she is just amazing. She was so happy and couldn’t stop smiling. I am so happy that I was able to go back to see that and talk to her again. Now the next step is for them to get to the temple and be sealed!
We have also been meeting alot of great people. The other day we were knocking on doors and there was this one street that was kind of long and looked like there was nothing on it, but Elder Freeland and I decided to go on anyways. We just felt like we should keep going, so we did. Well turns out there was alot of houses at the end, because it split into like 3 different streets. Well there was this one house that was HUGE and we knocked it. Well a lady came to the door and was so nice. She said she had a Book of Mormon and had read the whole thing. So we asked what she got for an answer when she asked God if it was true and she said “I know its true.” Yeah I was speechless, I think my jaw dropped even. We are going to go back tomorrow and teach her and her family. Well then her neighbor was way sweet too. She just kept asking questions and wants us to come back to teach her too. Boy were we glad we kept going!
We have been doing alot of tracting and we have found a few people like this but we just got to get back in touch with them! That is the thing about Virginia, especially Fairfax, people are always moving doing something. It is nuts.
Also last week I was able to give a talk on Hope in sacrament meeting. This is it:
The first thing I want to figure out is what is hope? Is there a difference in the way that the world usually views hope and the way that the scriptures explain it? In the world Hope is usually used as an uncertain belief, like a wish or dream. Such as I hope the weather will change or I hope this Elder stops talking soon. Well don’t worry; I hope that I stop talking soon too. In the language of the gospel however, hope is sure, unwavering. For example the prophet Moroni taught in Ether 12:4 “Whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God” Hope is more than just a wish, it is an abiding trust that the Lord will fulfill His promises to you. It is believing and expecting.
So how do you gain hope? How can we obtain it? When we read through the scriptures we can see that hope is obtained, or we can grow in our ability to abound in hope, in a couple of ways. We can increase in hope as we continually pray and seek for God’s forgiveness. This is assured in the Book of Mormon by a missionary named Aaron as he is teaching a Lamanite King. In Alma 22:16 Aaron says “If thou wilt repent of all thy sins, and will bow down before God, and call on his name in faith, believing that ye shall receive, then shalt thou receive the hope which thou desirest” Another way that we can gain hope is through the studying of the scriptures and living their teachings. The Apostle Paul taught, “Whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope” (Romans 15:4)
So why would we want hope? Because with hope we can find joy in life. We are taught in the Book of Mormon that we can “have patience, and bear with . . . afflictions, with a firm hope that ye shall one day rest from all your afflictions” (Alma 34:41). So we can hope that we can get away from the things of the world and stresses of life and find peace and rest in God. And if we “press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life” (2 Nephi 31:20) Hope gives us peace and direction. When we have hope we know what to look towards, such as eternal life.
As a missionary I have been able to see people gain hope. There was one man particular that stands out to me. He is a young man, about my same age, 23 or so from the Congo in Africa. He came over here on a temporary visa and didn’t have a work permit. He was trying to get his green card so he could go to school and get a good job and have good life. He was living with his adopted brother and sister in law and since he couldn’t work he was dependent on them for food and shelter. He was approached by two missionaries and they gave him something to read. He spoke very poor English, but felt like he should read anyways. When he started reading the Book of Mormon he couldn’t quite understand it, because he didn’t speak English, but he felt something different. He would use a dictionary to translate words he couldn’t understand. He met with the missionaries and went to church and just loved it. He said that when he went to church he felt like he was in real life, and when he was out in the world it was as if he was dreaming, or having a nightmare. The missionaries gave him a Book of Mormon in French so he could understand it and he loved it. One day he went to the park and as he came home he saw his sister in law outside, she was burning his Book of Mormon and everything else he had that had to deal with the church. She told him that if he had any more contact with the church, he would be kicked out of the house. He told the missionaries he had to respect her at this time, and stopped meeting with them. About 6 months down the road a member sent an email to this young man and invited him to go to basketball. My companion and I just happened to be at the basket ball that night. I talked to him and we set up an appointment to see him on Sunday. The whole time he wasn’t meeting with the missionaries, had been going to different churches with his family, they were trying to get him into any church, any one besides this one. But he said he just felt like something was missing. He had also been sneaking a Book of Mormon into the bathroom with him and reading it in English, doing this is how he learned English. And from doing this he knew it was true. We sat down with him October 18, 2007 and taught him. You could feel his testimony as he talked, you could see it in his eyes, the love he had for the gospel. We invited him to be baptized and I will never forget what he said to us. He looked at us and said “I have waited to long for this, I know this is what I need. I know that when I am baptized, it isn’t going to be easy, I will be kicked out of my house, beat, and will have to bear this cross. But you know what? I don’t care. My family tries to tell me that what I feel isn’t real, that what I know isn’t true, but I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, I know it and no one can take that away from me. I have waited to long, yes I will be baptized and I want my family to be there.” He was baptized 6 days later on October 24th, 2007 and it was amazing to hear him come out of the water and say in his broken English “best day, best day ever”. He went through a lot with his family, they were not happy and they punished him severely, and eventually he was kicked out of the house and members took him and help him out. Why did he endure all this? Why did he say yes when he knew what was going to happen? Because he had an unshakable hope, he knew that God would take care of him, and as Amulek taught, he would “find rest from all [his] afflictions.” That is what hope does, it caries us through the hard times, it gives us joy in this life, no matter what.
I don’t think that I have sent home my testimony for a little while, but I know that hope really does get us through. It is a hope in people accepting the gospel that keeps me knocking on doors. It is hope that helps us remember God loves us, even when times are hard. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be out here and to share this with everyone. Life isn’t easy and I don’t know how we could make it through if we didn’t have hope. Thank you all for the love and support that you give to me. I miss you all and hope that you are doing great! I wish I could type up every experience I have on a door and all the people we come in contact with. I love you all! Have a great one!

Hey! How is everyone doing today? Did you have a great week or what? I am doing fantastic and had a really great week again. I don’t even know were to start! I guess just a little weather update. I don’t know why I update you all on the weather, but I do it anyway. It feels like spring here. Today it was like 68 and breezy, and the days before were nice and warm too. It is just beautiful. It really makes it so much easier to go out and do the work, mainly because when the weather is nice, everyone is a little nicer too.
We met some really great people this week. One man named Nathan. He is about 23 or so and doesn’t really know a whole lot about religion or anything. Just didn’t grow up with a very religious family or friends. We just tracted into him last week and he said we could come back. Well we sat down with him and taught about Jesus Christ. He has a very, simple understanding of who Christ is, or about the Bible. He was so happy that we were able to stop by and teach him though. We watched a DVD with him called Finding Faith in Christ and he loved it. He kept referring to the Apostles as Christs’ “Crew”. ha He really wants to turn somethings in his life around and learn more. Very humble, willing to learn and find answers to the questions he has.
We were also able to meet with Kati and Jay. Wow what a great family. Young couple and just so kind. She had some questions that we talked about such as why God allows suffering and how Joseph Smith got the gold plates. She really wants to know how she can strengthen her faith and know if these things are true. We were able to talk a lot about how we came to know they were true for ourselves. I love it, I love sharing about it because I really how much work I had to put into it and try to help them see that they need to too. If you want to know you have to search it out diligently and pray until you receive your answer. And when you are doing that you need to really look for how God answers your prayers. It is different for everyone, that is what makes it that much more personal.
We had a great experience last night too. We were just knocking doors and this guy lets us in. Well you could tell right off the bat he had been drinking a little, and I am not talking about Olvaltine, he was drunk. He was one of the funniest people I think I have met though. The great thing is, you could actually tell, even though he was drunk he wanted to learn more. He was very honest and straight forward. He told us “I am not an alcoholic.” He let us know that he had just come across some good fortune and was celebrating. Well we told him we would talk about that next time we came back and he was sober. He wants us to come back Tuesday. His name is Matt. Didn’t grow up too religious, but told us he is really open to learning more, and promised us he would be sober on Tuesday.
Things are really turning around in this area. People are just ready to hear the gospel and want to be taught. I love it. I hope you all know how much you mean to me. Thanks for all the love and support you give to me, it helps me out so much. Have a great week and remember, it is what you make it. Focus on the good, easier said than done, but just do it! I love you all so much, have a great week and a happy valentines day!

Hey! How is everyone doing this week? I am doing pretty good. We had a little surprise come through this week though which was pretty neat. I am sitting there last Wednesday evening and get a phone call. They ask if I am sitting down ha, I was like “what is going on? What did I do to get in this much trouble?” Then they asked what I was doing Saturday morning, and then had me change my plans. I went up to the temple visitor center with about 60 other missionaries from this mission and the D.C. North mission and got to meet and be taught by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland. It was amazing! He came and wanted to teach a few missionaries from the two missions, what a once in a life time opportunity, to meet an Apostle of The Lord and get to hear his testimony and learn from him and feel his spirit. A lot of times I wonder to my self what it would be like to have been taught by Paul, or Peter or any of the Apostles. It is amazing. I was able to shake his hand and talk with him for a little bit, really just to tell him who I was and were I was from, and a little bit more, but you could see in his eyes the love for us and God that he had. He got so into it at times he would spit a little when he talked! haha that is right, I got a little bit of it sprayed on me. ha He said the spit was from “dramatic effect.” And when he bore his testimony of Christ, it was powerful and heartfelt, you could just feel the sincerity and the spirit so strongly.
That same day as I was away Elder Freeland went over with and Elder Lee and taught a lady named Linda Lee. She comes from a Buddhist background but wants to know more about Christianity, she really feels like Jesus could be the Saviour of the world. They taught her and I don’t know exactly what went on but she prayed at the end and wanted us to come back and teach her again sometime, so I will keep you updated on that!
Oh so here is some sweet news, yesterday evening Elder Freeland and I were driving home, just singing some songs and what not, when all of a sudden Elder Freeland yells “OH MY GOSH!!!!!” and sticks his hand out like he was trying to use the force and stop something. I am just going through my green light, when a car in the left turn lane, decides to turn left on their red light, into us. Well my Jeff Gordon skills kind of kicked in, I hit the brakes, swerved right, but didn’t have to far to go right before I would have gone up on the sidewalk and hit this lady just chillin there. This causes my back end to kick out and fish tale a little bit, making my back end about to slide into car, so I go back and turn left and we end up kind of side swiping the car. It was intense, I kind of felt like a ninja, a driving ninja in away. At the point of contact, her side view mirror blew up and the shrapnel flew into the road like it was World War III. Needless to say I got my fix of adrenaline for the day. Our car was barley even damaged, just some little scratches that you can’t even really see. Good times.
Oh this week we were able to meet with Katy and Jay. They are a great family, just so sweet and sincere. She isn’t a member and he hasn’t gone to church since he was like 17. They both want to find a church and they are both wanting Elder Freeland and I to teach them. We went over on Monday and had a great visit with them. They both asked us a lot of questions and want us to come back again. They really want to read the Book of Mormon too to find out for themselves if is is truly from God. I will keep you posted!
Other than that, just working and loving it. I will tire myself out. I hope to come home with huge ugly bags under my eyes because I have just given it my all. One of the lessons I have come to learn is that when you sacrifice for something, it makes you feel dedicated. You have given a part of you for something, it now becomes a part of you. I hope that you can all have a great week and push forward through hard times. It is so much easier said then done, but Christ told us to come unto him and he will give us rest. Look towards God and your loved ones and they will see you through. I love you all so much and miss you tons. Have a great week!
LOVE YOU!!!
Love
Elder Gregory Scott Galloway
